Clear brace problems- staining!

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help. I had clear braces fitted about 2 weeks ago and am so paranoid about which food will stain. Can anyone help in more depth than curry and tomatoe pasta sauces? I really want to know what foods and sauces will stain.

Thanks! :)

Well, dark liquids used to flavor foods, such as tomato pasta and sauce, can produce the stain. A general rule to follow is that if a food can stain your clothes, it can stain your teeth too. https://dentistsinmobileal.com

The premium thermoplastic materials like Zendura (used by ClearCorrect) and the material Align Technology uses (for its Invisalign products) are highly stain resistant, so you don't have to be as attentive to what you drink and eat when wearing a Zendura or an Invisalign retainer. What easily distinguishes them from the other materials available for forming retainers is that they are all made of a fairly expensive polyurethane resin. All the other retainer materials from companies like Dentsly and Great Lakes are all made of a fairly inexpensive resin called polyester. The polyester resin they use is very similar to the polyester resin used in plastic Coke bottles. Basically, in the world of clear materials for making retainers, you get what you pay for. If you are concerned about potential staining of your retainers, tell your orthodontist or dentist that you want to have Zendura or the material Align uses used to make your retainers to protect against the possibility of staining caused by consuming highly staining agents like strong coffees and teas and strong mustards.

Gatorade, some fruits like blueberries/blackberries, and bright juices, coffee, candy (which you shouldn't have anyway), soda, wine, frosting, kool-aid, basically anything brightly colored!
