Bridge removed for invisalign - alternatives to being toothless?

I just committed to invisalign and dentist predicts it will be about 16 months. I've had a maryland bridge for 15 years or more and it's my upper left cuspid (two teeth over from my front teeth). The dentist removed the bridge and glued a fake tooth into my temporary tray (waiting for actual invisalign to still be made). But every time I have a meal, I have to remove this and look like a total hillbilly. I don't know why this didn't occur to me but going out to work lunches or out with friends at night is now something I dread and avoid at all costs. Is there any middle ground solution? Any sort of retainer device I can wear just for meals? I can't bear the idea of going 1.5 years like this. I know it's worth it and all that so please only respond with practical solutions :) It's pretty hard to be in a professional setting with a very prominent tooth missing! :)
