Do invisalign orthodontists let their dental nurses take care of all the patient procedures?

I have been going to this recommended orthodontist for invisalign for almost two months. However, I only got to talk to him in person once, at the initial appointment. In all my subsequent visits, the procedures (e.g. scanning, imaging, moulding, cleaning, putting on attachments, evaluations, giving care instructions, etc.) were done by his nurses. The orthodontist was busy seeing other patients and didn't even come by to check on me. He didn't even talk to me or ask how I was doing.

I have no idea if the nurses are doing a good job on my teeth. This is my 5th visit and I start to wonder if this is a common practice. Do most orthodontists delegate the invisalign work to his nurses? How should I talk to my orthodontist that I don't feel I am getting enough attention for what I paid for?
