Is it okay to go free diving with braces?

Free diving is pretty much a sport of swimming down to deep depths and returning on one breath of air. I go free diving often and love doing it; and I'm getting braces on Friday. I was wondering if my braces would be affected by going deep down (100 feet, give or take) under the surface of the water where pressures are much greater than on the surface. Thank you

If this isn't the right place to ask this question Im sorry, maybe I could be directed to a better website.

Yes, you can. It's probably best to have the braces on for a few months before diving, so you can get used to the extra hardware in your mouth.

A good thing to do is to keep practicing before you descend. If you have access to a pool, practice with a mask or bring just your regulator in the pool with you. This will prepare you for the dive.
