White spots on tops of teeth

Hi, I'm Nikki  and I've had my braces for four months. I brush two-three x daily. I waterpik after every meal and make sure to brush my gums and in between the brackets. My problem is, about a month ago I began to notice white areas on the tops of my teeth. Next appointment,  I asked my orthodontist about them and he said it was "Just glue". I know for a fact these are not glue. What am I doing wrong? Help? :(

My ortho told me that mine was just an affect of the bright lights reflecting on my teeth. I have that same problem tho :(
