Is it advisable to remove my son's braces as I moved to the US , and insert new ones?

Instead of just checking and tightening his braces, the doc wants to completely remove and put in new braces. Is this advisable or shoud I just wait out the remaining period and get it removed back home?

Welcome to BracesForums.org ;)

Is there a reason for this? Has the doctor said they're not working properly etc.? Does this mean more costs to you? When do you get back home?

Normally the braces should stay on, but, if there are good reasons to change them and you are comfortable/trust the doctor, then you can agree with it.
