How to get your braces off early?

I was told I'd need at least 2 years for my orthodontics treatment. I'm wearing Damon braces and wanted to know if it's possible to get them off earlier. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?

I asked the same question to my orthodontist but he said the process is solid and i can not fasten it by applying thicker archwire etc.(said it will weaken the teeth roots) if you have class 2 correction you can get Forsus or alike appliances to shorten process but they are expensive too it is usualy free to just talk about process with orthodontists you can go other and check their ideas .From what i heard self ligating braces(like damon) shorten the process but i didnt use them

I think there is no easy was off the braces. I've put on braces to minimize gap between my teeth from Dr. Stephen Phelan, Oakville, couple of years back. He had advised me to take care of the braces, no hard and sticky food, and definitely no sodas. These things will damage the braces and you will have to change or adjust it, this takes more time. One easy way, follow the instruction and just forget about the braces. I guess, that's the hard part? :)
But believe me, that's the easiest of all.

Just make sure you take good care of your teeth and are not damaging them during the process. I'd be less worried about the time and just make sure it all goes well. At the end of the day, few weeks more or less don't matter that much, what matters is to get the treatment to succeed, so that you don't have to repeat or prolong it :)
